Singapore is facing an increasingly ageing population. To promote positive active ageing and better support the well-being of our seniors, we have set up Cornerstone@ChengSan Active Ageing Centre at Ang Mo Kio with several initiatives below to support them and their families.
Cornerstone@CHENGSAN ACTIVE AGEING CENTRE (CAAC)
We are an active ageing centre and the main contact on social-health matters for seniors and their caregivers staying at Cheng San, Ang Mo Kio.
The centre offers a wide range of programmes and services below catered for the seniors with the objective of strengthening their physical, emotional and mental well-being, and fostering strong 3 generational bonds within the community.
Active Ageing Programmes
Seniors can participate in our recreational activities such as regular exercise, sports, group outings, arts and crafts sessions, interest groups, digital & health workshops etc.
Information & Referrals
Provide information on schemes, grants, support and referrals for the seniors to get access to appropriate services.
Befriending & Buddying Services
Regular home visits by our staff and volunteers to provide social and emotional support to seniors.
Healthier SG Related Services
Seniors can receive assistance to monitor their blood pressure & weight under the Healthier SG initiatives.

CORNERSTONE KAKIS PROGRAMME
The Cornerstone Kakis programme is a structured initiative designed for seniors aged 50 and above. It integrates active ageing activities around Katong/Joo Chiat area by encompassing five key domains: physical fitness; cognitive stimulation; social interaction including communal dining; lifelong learning, and volunteerism.
To meet the varying needs and interests of the seniors, the programme offers elective sessions throughout the week. This approach not only promotes physical and mental well-being but also fosters a sense of community and belonging among seniors.

KAKIS CLUB
Every Monday

Katong Shopping Centre, Annex Block #05-44
At the core of Cornerstone Kakis programme is Kakis Club, a volunteer-run social club that brings seniors together to participate in a range of different activities. Participants come together for an array of activities such as exercise, singing and health education. Kakis Club is designed to encourage our seniors to meet new friends and grow their social circle while engaging in various activities during the session. It also provides an avenue for our seniors to serve and contribute back to their community.
SPORTS KAKIS

Joo Chiat Community Club Hall
Sports Kakis is a sport interest group initiated for seniors to stay active and meet like-minded individuals. Participants would be able to engage in new sports on a rotational basis, allowing them to enjoy and learn new sports.
FIT KAKIS
Every Thursday
2:30pm - 3:30pm
The Odeon Katong, #02-23
Fit Kakis is an exercise programme that utilises Functional Power Training principles that targets strengthening lower limbs and optimise functional ability. At every session, exercises will be tailored to an individual’s level. Music and dual tasking will be incorporated to stimulate participants cognitively.
FUN KAKIS

Fun Kakis is a board game and e-game programme where members come together to play and learn different board games and e-games together. Engaging in games help to keep the mind active and at the same time, our members can have fun and chat together.
MAKAN KAKIS

Makan Kakis is a monthly communal dining programme that aims to bring our members together to connect over food and to celebrate their birthdays. Members meet on every 2nd Thursday of the month at The Odeon Katong Level 2.
Kakis Kitchen is a community cafe that serve as the hub where members can gather and socialise after the various programmes. Click here for more information.
Super Senior (Volunteering)
The Super Senior Programme is an initiative with Council for Third Age. We are looking for suitable volunteers aged 50 and above to serve the seniors at Cornerstone@ChengSan Active Ageing Centre (CAAC) in various areas such as our Senior for Senior programme, exercise, food and nutrition, interest groups (gardening, photography etc) and many more. Training sessions will be provided.
