TOGETHER, WE BUILD
AND COHESIVE
At Cornerstone Community Services (CCS), we aspire to create a community where children thrive; couples find stability and strength; seniors experience dignity; migrant workers feel at home and inmates find hope and redemption. But we cannot do it alone.
Your generosity and support fuel our works to provide essential resources and build a community where everyone is valued.

We are always expanding our reach to serve and impact the different groups in the community. Here are some of our new programmes & services launched in 2024.
Impact Groups
In March 2024, CCS launched a structured initiative known as Cornerstone Kakis programme designed for seniors aged 50 and above. It integrates active ageing activities by encompassing five key domains:
1
Physical Fitness
2
Cognitive Stimulation
3
Volunteerism
4
Lifelong Learning
5
Social Interaction
including communal dining
Fit Kakis
Fit Kakis is an exercise programme that utilises Functional Power Training principles that targets strengthening lower limbs and optimise functional ability. At the session in Odeon Katong on every Thursday, exercises will be tailored to an individual’s level.
Since May 2024, CCS has expanded Fit Kakis by collaborating with Singapore Prison Service and The Salvation Army to support elderly and physically disabled inmates from the Assisted Living Correctional Unit with exercise therapy sessions on a bi-weekly basis. These sessions help them to improve their physical, mental, and psychological well-being, and prepare them for their eventual reintegration into society.
Sports Kakis
Sports Kakis is a sport interest group initiated for seniors to stay active and meet like-minded individuals on every Wednesday at Joo Chiat CC.
Under this programme, there are several elective sessions for the seniors to join throughout the week:
Makan Kakis
Makan Kakis is a monthly communal dining programme that aims to bring our members at Katong together to connect over food and to celebrate their birthdays.
Kakis Club
At the core of Cornerstone Kakis programme is Kakis Club, a volunteer-run social club where seniors come together to bond with others and participate in activities such as exercise, singing, games and health education. Kakis Club is currently held at two locations (Katong and Selarang Halfway House) for different communities.
Fun Kakis
Fun Kakis is a board game and e-game programme where members come together every Thursday at Odeon Katong to play and learn different board games and e-games together.
Impact Groups
Kakis Kitchen is a community cafe that serves delicious local food and beverages at affordable prices. It is also dedicated to serve as an outreach point for seniors and members of Cornerstone Kakis programme to hang out and connect with one another.
Our Family Life Education programmes play a pivotal role in strengthening family relationships and promoting understanding among the different generational groups through our learning journey and awareness workshops.

Family Life
Education
Launched in January 2024, our Cornerstone Wellness Programme for migrant workers exemplifies this approach by equipping them with life skills to manage their personal well-being such as self-care and building strong family relationships back in their home country.
For the low-income families, we started Henderson Initiative Family Night in May 2024 to conduct monthly outreach for residents at rental estate in Henderson where volunteers organise fun activities and have meals together with the families there.
We also initiated the Rebuild and Connect Programme in February 2024 to reach out to offenders through The Salvation Army and extend our impact within prison. This family-focused programme provides pre-release inmates with the tools and support necessary to reconnect with their families and prepare for a more positive future.
We offer programmes and services for everyone from children, couples, families, seniors, migrant workers to inmates & ex-offenders. These are more than just a series of activities and events — they are lifeline that transform the lives of people. Your contribution ensures that everyone, regardless of their background, financial situation and life circumstances, have access to a healthy and fulfilling life. Together, we can be the family that transforms lives and builds a stronger, more connected community.
